You will expect this tasks:
- Responsible for the administration, optimization and further development of the Oracle databases at the customer
- They carry out troubleshooting, tuning and commissioning of Oracle databases
- Planning and implementation of database upgrades and updates
- You prepare changes with those responsible for the application and then carry out a review of the changes made
- You are responsible for and coordinate the implementation of database migrations.
What you already bring with you:
- A successfully completed IT degree or a successfully completed vocational training related to IT and at least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Very good and extensive experience with the administration of Oracle databases (Single Instance + RAC) on a wide variety of hardware infrastructures and operating systems (Windows and Linux)
- Good knowledge in the following areas:
▪ SQL and PL/SQL
▪ Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
▪ Oracle Enterprise Linux
▪ Oracle Grid Infrastructure (Oracle Clusterware and ASM)
- very good knowledge in the areas of patching + upgrades of Oracle databases as well as their backup & recovery
- good experience in tuning (SE2 and EE)
- Experience in working on complex project tasks
- fluent knowledge of German language
- English skills
- Teamwork and high motivation
- high level of commitment and willingness to learn
Ideally, you already have experience in the following areas:
- Oracle Engineered Systems (Exadata, Oracle Database Appliance, etc.)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure : DBCS
- Bash scripting as well as in programming languages, e.g. Perl, python, or Java
- Backup tools such as E.g .: TSM, EMC Networker, SEP Sesam or Veeam
- MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
